Kawkareik District (S'gaw Karen: ကီၢ်ကရံၣ်ကီၢ်ရ့ၢ်; also called Dooplaya in Karen language) is a district of the Karen State in Myanmar. It consists of 4 towns;Kawkareik, the capital, Kyainseikgyi, Kyondoe, Payathonzu and Kyaikdon;and 552 villages. The population as 2014 was 475,191.

Kawkareik Township (Burmese: ကော့ကရိတ်မြို့နယ်; S'gaw Karen: ကီၢ်ကရံၣ်ကီၢ်ဆၣ်) is a township of Kawkareik District in the Karen State of Myanmar. The principal town is Kawkareik. Kawkareik township is the second most populated township in Karen State[1] and there are many small villages inside.

Kyainseikgyi Township (Burmese: ကြာအင်းဆိပ်ကြီးမြို့နယ် [ca-ın´sʰeɪʔtɕí mjo̰nɛ̀]) is a township of Kawkareik District in the Kayin State of Myanmar. It is the fourth-biggest township in Kayin State. The two main sub-towns are Kyeikdon and Payathonsu. It is drained by the Zami, Winyaw and the Haungtharaw rivers.[2]

The basic education high schools located within Kyain Seikgyi Township are BEHS Kyainnseikyi, B.E.H.S-Tagondaing, BEHS Kale, BEHS Hparpya, BEHS Anankwin, BEHS Kyaikdon, BEHS Azin, BEHS Kyakhatchaung, BEHS Thanpayar, BEHS Taungpauk and BEHS Payathonzu. The main hospitals are Kya Inn Seikyi township public hospital, Khale - Tagundaing Station Public Hospital, Kyaikdon Station hospital, Payathonzu Station Hospital.
